High-purity Formaldehyde Tube

The improved high-purity formaldehyde tubes (Cat. Nos. 226-119 and 226-120) contain high-purity silica gel sorbent treated with 2,4-Dinitrophenylhydrazine (DNPH) to collect very low levels of formaldehyde. The sorbent background level on the front section of the tube is < 0.030 ?g. These tubes are ideal for ambient and indoor air studies where formaldehyde levels can be very low.

Sorbent Tube for Diacetyl/Acetoin (Butter-flavoring Agents)

Due to concerns about workplace exposure to diacetyl, OSHA developed Methods 1012 and 1013 that permit longer sampling times and have lower quantitation limits than the previously used Method PV2118. SKC sorbent tube Cat. No. 226-183 meets the specifications of both OSHA 1012 and 1013.

Samples are collected using a personal sample pump to draw air at 50 ml/min through two single-section sorbent tubes connected in series, each tube containing 600 mg of specially cleaned and dried silica gel.
